Prep with Jen, LLC (“Prep with Jen,” “us,” “our,” or “we”) provides a range of education and related services for students and strives to offer the visitors of its website (the “Site”) an interactive and personalized experience. To do this, we may, at times, use “Personally Identifiable Information” (any information that can be used to identify a specific individual, such as a name, postal address, telephone number or email address) subject to the terms of this privacy policy statement (“Privacy Policy”).  Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Prep with Jen online and does not apply to any other websites or online services. This Privacy Policy applies when you use any of our website, mobile, or tablet applications or other online services that link and refer to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect as part of the Services and the purpose for that collection. We also explain how we use your personal data and your choices about that use. By visiting the Site or submitting your personal data, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect personal information about our users in various ways.  For example, to take advantage of the Services, or features offered or provided by our Services, you may be asked to provide personal information. When you browse through our Site we collect:

  • Basic information about your computer, browser and connection to make sure that we can give you proper information and customer service and for security purposes.
  • Aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit to improve our Site.
  • Number of links you click within the Site.

If you choose to contact us through the Site, request an appointment, consultation, information or register for the Services, we may ask you for more information including but not limited to:

  • Your name and address which, among other things, enables us to process your payment;

For your convenience, we may make it possible, from time to time, for you to register your student for our tutoring programs.  To register for programs with Prep with Jen through our Site, you may from time to time be required to create an account with us and provide us with your financial information such as credit card number and type, billing address, and expiration date along with personally identifiable information such as your name, billing address, telephone number, email, and the name of the student that you are registering with us.  Such information is provided to and collected by third-party payment processors.  If you register for a program with us, we may also collect your student’s name, age, gender and grade level in school.  To receive tutoring Services from Prep with Jen, a student may, from time to time and at our discretion, be required to create a separate account with Prep with Jen.  In such an event, the student’s account may be linked to the account of such student’s parent or legal guardian.  Your financial information and your student’s name and information are used:

  • to complete your student’s registration in the Prep with Jen program(s) you select;
  • to create a unique account for you with Prep with Jen;
  • for billing purposes; and
  • to contact you if we have questions about your payment.

We may use personally identifiable information and non-personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and to:

  • deliver tutoring services to you or your student;
  • manage content delivery; and
  • personalize your and your student’s experience with our Site.

As you navigate through our Site, we may use automatic data collection technologies including Google Analytics to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns.   This will generally include information about your location, your traffic pattern through our Site, and any communications between your computer and our Site. Among other things, we will collect data about the type of computer you use, your Internet connection, your IP address, your operating system, and your browser type.

The information we collect automatically is used for statistical data and will not include personal information.  We use this data to improve our Site and our Services offering.  To the extent that you voluntarily provide personal information to us, our systems may associate the automatically collected information with your personal information.

We may collect information concerning your computer and other devices used to access the Services. For example, we may collect your hardware model, IP address, other unique device identifiers, operating system version, and browser type and settings of the device you use to access the Services.

Usage Information:

We may collect information about the Services you use, your interactions with content offered through the Services, and other online activity.  For example, we may collect information about how many visitors visit a specific page on our Site, how long they stay on a specific Site page, and which hyperlinks, if any, they click on.  We collect this information, in part, using technologies such as cookies and web beacons, which are discussed in greater detail in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect such as age, education, gender, interests and zip code to enhance our Services, develop our business, and provide a better user experience on our Site

To Better Understand our Users and Improve Customer Service:

We may use your information to improve our Services, the user experience of our Site, and to develop our business.  We use certain third-party services to assist us in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting regarding the Services.  These third parties may use web logs or web beacons, and they may set and access cookies on your computer or other device. We use Google Analytics to help collect and analyze certain information for the purposes discussed in this Privacy Policy.

To Personalize Your Experience:

We may use your information as part of a group to understand how users of our Site interact with the Site, the Services and resources provided on our Site.

To Send Periodic Emails to You:

We may use your email address to respond to inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. Cookies:

A cookie is a string of data stored on your computer’s hard-drive or temporarily in your computer’s memory.  We do not link the information stored in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our Site. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies.  For the session cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates.  A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period.  Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on our Site.  By setting a cookie on our Site, users would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our Site. If users reject the cookie, they may still browse our Site, however they will not be able to make purchases or use other interactive functionality that requires cookies.

Web Beacons:

We also may use other tracking technologies. For example, we may use technologies called web beacons that communicate information from your device to a server.  Web beacons can be embedded in online content, videos, and emails, and can allow a server to read certain types of information from your device, know when you have viewed content or an email message, determine the time and date on which you viewed the web beacon, and the IP address of your device.  We use web beacons for a variety of purposes, including to analyze the use of our Services and in conjunction with cookies.

Log Files:

Like most standard website servers, we use log files for error diagnostics, session management, and determining our advertising efficiency. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring pages, platform type, date/time stamp. IP addresses, etc. are linked to personally identifiable information.

Transactions and Service Announcements:

Users who purchase Services will receive emails throughout the transaction process and they may sometimes receive phone calls from our Customer Service to ensure smooth transactions. We may also occasionally send out OR POST ON OUR WEBSITE service-related announcements, for instance, if our Service is suspended for maintenance.  Generally, these communications are not promotional in nature, and users will receive them if their accounts are open.

Special Offers, Newsletters and Updates:

Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications, as explained in the Choice and opt-out section below.

Customer Service:

We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services. We respond to issues relating to a user’s account via email or phone, in accordance with the user’s wishes.

A user can change their opt-in or opt-out status in several ways:

At Prep with Jen, we care about your privacy. We will not share your credit card number or any other financial information with any third party except for the verification purposes mentioned above and to process your purchase transactions.  We may also share your personal information with third parties in the following instances:

We may share information with subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies where it may be used to provide joint services or for purposes such as internal statistics, strategic decision-making, customer verification, fraud prevention and security.

Legal Disclaimer:

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may disclose personal information when required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process and when we believe in our sole discretion that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable):

We share some aggregated demographic information (age, zip codes) with some of our partners. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf.  These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness.  Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and action tags is anonymous.

Third Party Service Providers:

Third-parties may provide a variety of services to Prep with Jen, including, without limitation, verifying credit card information, billing, tracking Internet marketing campaigns, and processing credit card transactions.  In addition, these services may include enhancing the information Prep with Jen collects about its customers.  We may also use third-party email providers to assist with sending our marketing emails.  As a result, we may share your personal information with those businesses for the limited purpose of performing those services.

Corporate Changes:

We may provide your information to any successor in interest in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Prep with Jen asserts and/or business.
